Digital Marketing Specialist (Winnipeg)

Location: Winnipeg, Canada


As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you would work with a variety of clients in multiple industries to help them achieve their search visibility goals and raise brand awareness by implementing various best practices for SEO, SEM and other digital marketing strategies.

We're looking for someone who's organized and pays attention to detail and enjoys collaborative work with others in a team. Communicating and working in a fast paced environment comes easily to you.

Skill Requirements

  • Liaise closely with Unite Interactive team and/or clients during the client requirements gathering process, including account management through onsite, phone and email correspondence;
  • Work with Unite Interactive team to collaborate and develop digital marketing strategy;
  • Execute brand awareness, online reputation and social media campaign requirements through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification;
  • Use a variety of internal and third party tools to execute digital marketing strategy (SEO, inbound marketing, local SEO, Google AdWords, SEM Rush Software, etc.);
  • Work closely with project teams and project leaders to support the tracking of results, identify if or if not benchmarks are achieved, determine areas for continuous improvement;


  • The successful candidate will be a motivated and conscientious team player capable of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment;
  • Ability to use web, social and digital platforms that use various media and tactics to reach a targeted client base, enhance client branding and drive client awareness;
  • Experience with digital marketing firm and/or as an independent digital media specialist is an asset;
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels;
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills - attention to detail is extremely important;
  • Ensure all content is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (web, mobile, social, etc.);
  • Understanding of SEO techniques;
  • Demonstrable experience using Google Analytics and social media analytics tools knowledge;
  • Track performance indicators for digital marketing initiatives that complement the overall marketing and business objectives;
  • Maintain detailed reports, present on the performance of digital marketing efforts and provide recommendations for continuous improvement;
  • Knowledge of SEM Rush software would be an asset;
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability;
  • Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, business, new media or public relations.
